The giant statue, designed by artist Alvar Gullichsen, swam to Turku in 1999. 20 years later, it was named the official animal of the city of Turku.

After meditating along the Helsingintie, he decided to do something right. That's why a fun Posankka racing event will take place on Turku Day, where thousands of racing henchmen will rush for a cleaner nature! The event is organized in cooperation with the city of Turku, the Keep the Archipelago Tidy association and the South West Finland Rescue Service. Proceeds from the event will go to the activities of the Keep the Archipelago Tidy association.
The products were designed by Kristiina´s Product Design from Turku in cooperation with Gullichsen. All products are ethically produced.
